Why this site exists

Baby feeding gear is one of the worst-explained categories in retail. Product pages assume you already know what a flange is. Round-ups review twenty-three breast pumps and then decline to say which one to buy. Nobody hands you a glossary, and the single thing that most affects whether pumping works — getting the flange size right — is barely mentioned anywhere.

Bottle & Bib exists to be the site that says which one to buy, explains the words as it goes, and is willing to tell you when you do not need the thing at all. Who writes it

Ryder M. is the hands-on owner behind Magoo Media Group and the person who researches and writes every guide on this site. He built it after finding that most baby-feeding advice assumes you already know the vocabulary. Every recommendation here is researched against manufacturer specifications, published safety guidance from the CDC, AAP and FDA, and the independent testing of established review labs — with the sourcing shown so you can check it yourself.

There is no editorial team, no panel of experts and no clinical review board, because none of those exist. Every byline on this site is Ryder M., and it is a real person rather than a house name.

What we do not claim

This part matters more than the usual About-page biography, so it is explicit.

• We are not clinicians. Ryder M. is not a lactation consultant, IBCLC, nurse, dietitian or physician, and we will never imply otherwise. Nothing on this site is medical advice.
• We are not a testing lab. We have not used most of the products we recommend, and every product card says so with a "researched" label. Where we rely on another outlet's hands-on testing, we name them and link it.
• We publish no star ratings or review counts. We did not collect any, so printing one would be an invention. The scores you see are our own editorial research scores on a published rubric.
• We publish no prices we cannot verify live. Right now that means every price slot reads "check price on Amazon" rather than a number that might be months stale.
• We have no testimonials section. There are no verified reader reviews of this site, and fabricating some is not an option.

Where a question is genuinely clinical — low supply, reflux, poor weight gain, a baby refusing all feeds, allergen introduction — we say plainly that it is one for a pediatrician or a lactation consultant, and we do not answer it. That is a boundary, not a gap.

How we actually work
