Elvie Stride 2 vs eufy S1 Pro: which hands-free pump?
One solves fit in the box with six flange sizes. The other warms the cup to help let-down. Fit beats features, so there is a right answer for most people.

The short answer
Buy the Elvie Stride 2 if you do not already know your flange size. It ships with six sizes from 21 to 28mm plus 15, 17 and 19mm cushion inserts, which means the single biggest cause of low output and sore nipples is solved in the box rather than by a second order in week one. Buy the eufy S1 Pro if you know your size and you want the strongest-measured wearable with warming — it was ranked first for milk removal among wearables by independent testers, and its built-in warming earns its keep on night pumps when let-down is slow.

Side by side
| What matters | Elvie Stride 2 | eufy Wearable Breast Pump S1 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Form | Hands-free cups tethered to a small hub motor | Fully in-bra cup, double, nothing tethered |
| Suction | Hospital grade, stated up to −300 mmHg | Ranked first for milk removal among wearables in independent testing |
| Flange sizes in the box | Six, 21–28mm, plus 15/17/19mm cushion inserts | Supplied sizes only — extra sizes are a separate order |
| Smallest size available | 15mm with an insert, the smallest range on a mainstream pump | Larger floor |
| Warming | None | Built in — the headline feature, aimed at let-down |
| Control | On the hub, and by app | By app, so you are not reaching inside a shirt |
| Parts per session | More than a one-piece collection cup | Multi-part cups — the most washing of the two |
| In the bra | Cup only; the motor sits in a pocket or clips to a waistband | Everything in the bra, so heavier than the slimmest cups |
| Price tier | Premium | Premium |
One row in that table decides more sessions than the rest put together, and it is the flange row. A pump that does not fit does not work, and no amount of suction, app control or warming compensates for a flange that is two sizes out.
Fit first, and why the Stride 2 usually wins it
Most people are not the 24mm that pumps have historically shipped as standard. Too large and you pull areola into the tunnel, which hurts and drains badly; too small and the nipple rubs the walls, which also hurts and also drains badly. Both failures feel like "this pump does not work for me", and both are a sizing problem rather than a pump problem.
The Stride 2 addresses that by including the range: six flanges and three cushion inserts, down to 15mm, which is the smallest range on a mainstream pump. If you are starting out and have never been measured, that is worth more than any feature on this page. Our sizing guide is breast pump flange size, the IBCLC-written sizing reference we lean on is Genuine Lactation, and if your nipples stretch a long way into the tunnel read best breast pumps for elastic nipples before you spend anything.
Honest cons on the Stride 2: the cups are tethered to a hub, so it is hands-free rather than cordless — you can carry it around the house, but there is a tube and a motor to put somewhere. It is premium money if your insurance plan will not cover it (check pumps covered by insurance first). And it is more parts per session than a single-piece collection cup.
Output, warming and what the testing actually found
The eufy S1 Pro is the strongest wearable in the independent testing we rely on — Consumer Reports and Forbes Vetted both put it at the top of the category for milk removal. That is the single most useful thing to know about it, and it is why it leads our wearables roundup.
Warming is the other headline. Heat is a long-standing, low-tech way to encourage let-down, and having it in the cup rather than in a microwaved flannel is genuinely convenient at 3am. Treat it as a convenience that helps let-down, not as a supply treatment — the thing that moves supply is how often and how completely milk is removed, which is the argument in how often should I pump and how to power pump.
Honest cons on the eufy: it is the most expensive way into wearable pumping; the multi-part cups are the most washing of the two; and with everything in the bra it is heavier than the slimmest wearables, which you notice by the end of a workday. Extra flange sizes are a separate order.
The verdict
Buy the Elvie Stride 2 if you are new to pumping, if you suspect you are not a 24mm, or if sore nipples have already told you the fit is wrong. Six sizes in the box is the most useful thing any pump on this page does.
Buy the eufy S1 Pro if you already know your size, you want the strongest-measured wearable, and warming appeals — especially if most of your pumping happens at night or you have historically been slow to let down.
Buy the Momcozy M9 if neither price is realistic. It is rated close to the premium cups on suction, it is stocked everywhere so replacement parts are easy, and the money you save covers a hands-free bra and a spare set of parts — eufy vs Momcozy settles that pair directly. If you would rather not wear a pump at all, wearable vs traditional breast pump is the honest version of this decision.
Worth saying plainly
Pumping should not hurt. Pain, cracking or bruising means stop and change the fit, not push the suction higher — start at the lowest comfortable vacuum and work up. Clean pump parts after every use and sanitize per CDC breast pump hygiene guidance; the CDC says to discard tubing immediately if it has milk or mold in it. Never buy or borrow a used closed-system pump's parts, and never share a single-user pump — the FDA explains why. We are not clinicians and nothing here is medical advice; supply concerns belong with an IBCLC or your clinician.
How we chose
Researched, not hands-on. Suction figures, flange ranges, cup construction and control methods are taken from Elvie's Stride 2 specification and eufy's S1 Pro specification, both confirmed currently sold. Output rankings are from Consumer Reports and Forbes Vetted, sizing from Genuine Lactation, and hygiene and device rules from the CDC and FDA. Fit range is weighted heaviest on this page. Common questions
Is the Elvie Stride 2 or the eufy S1 Pro better?
The Stride 2 if you do not know your flange size — six sizes plus inserts down to 15mm ship in the box, and fit decides output more than anything else. The eufy S1 Pro if you know your size: it was ranked first for milk removal among wearables by independent testers and adds built-in warming.
Is the Elvie Stride 2 fully cordless?
No. The cups are hands-free but tethered to a small hub motor you put in a pocket or clip to a waistband. The eufy S1 Pro is the fully in-bra design of the two, with nothing trailing.
Does a warming breast pump increase milk supply?
Warming helps let-down, which can make a session feel easier and faster, but supply responds to how often and how completely milk is removed, not to heat. See how often should I pump and best breast pumps for low milk supply.
What flange size do I need?
Measure your nipple diameter at the base, not the areola, and start from there — most people are not the 24mm that ships as standard. The method is in breast pump flange size. Ill-fitting flanges are the most common reason a good pump produces little milk.
Can I use either pump at work?
Both are designed for it — the eufy sits entirely in the bra, and the Stride 2 keeps the cups discreet with the motor in a pocket. Our working-parent shortlist is best breast pumps for working moms.
